Sopranos Temporada 6
Finoccio in the Family

Battlestar Galactica temporada 1 (La nueva)
Commander William Adama: There’s a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people.

An Inconvenient Truth
Al Gore: I’m Al Gore, I used to be the next president of the United States.
[laughter and applause from audience]
Al Gore: I don’t find that particularly funny.

VAMOS A MORIR!

Jackass 2
Johnny Knoxville: [while Bam is in car with Cobra] You crying?
Bam Margera: Yeah

LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy
Stormtrooper: Let me see your identification.
Obi-Wan: [influencing the stormtrooper's mind] You don’t need to see his identification.
Stormtrooper: We don’t need to see his identification.
Obi-Wan: These aren’t the droids you’re looking for.
Stormtrooper: These aren’t the droids we’re looking for.
Obi-Wan: He can go about his business.
Stormtrooper: You can go about your business.
Obi-Wan: Move along.
Stormtrooper: Move along… move along.

Gracias Ulises, gracias Tano, gracias!

Pet Shop Boys - Casanova in Hell
The girl’s perfection
Inspires affection
It’s queer
That here
He can’t cast his spell
In her direction
Somewhere near
One senses fear
Casanova in Hell
The girl is naked
The boy is naked
He hides
Inside
A secret chamber
There to gape
Through a velvet drape
And dream of rape
Casanova in Hell
Her sharp suggestion
He couldn’t get an erection
Came as a shock
He finds himself
A laughing-stock
His ageing fate
To contemplate
Casanova in Hell
Back in the library
His revenge is his story
What he will write
Will recall the bite
Of his wit
And legendary appetite
The sybarite
Casanova is well
For Casanova has the last laugh
Creates the myth and vindication
Of his sexual vocation
Makes the definitive collection
His lives and lovers and above all
His erection
Will live in history

Beer Ice Cream

Taken with Olympus C-5060 WZ
Last weekend I went with CH to a festival near my house called Taste of the Kingsway and I tasted for first time Beer Ice Cream, to be honest with you is not bad, actually is pretty good.
The Ice Cream I tried was made with with blonde beer and I found a recipe only to make Beer Ice Cream with Guinness , my favorite beer in the whole world.
3 commentsGuinness Ice Cream
Servings: 1 quart
Prep. Time: :10
Total Time: :25
Ingredients:1 can Guinness stout
2 cups heavy cream
2 cups milk
3/4 cup sugar
1 vanilla bean, halved
6 egg yolksDirections:
Heat and reduce the Guinness in a saucepan to about 3/4 the original amount. In a separate saucepan add cream, milk, and sugar. Scrape the seeds from the vanilla bean into the pan and add the vanilla bean halves. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from the heat.
Beat the egg yolks in a medium bowl. Whisk half of the hot cream mixture into the egg yolks, and then gradually and slowly add the egg mixture to the remaining hot cream. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens and reaches 170°F. on an instant-read thermometer. Remove from the heat and strain through a fine mesh strainer into a clean container. Cover with plastic wrap, pressing down against the surface to keep a skin from forming. Chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
Remove from refrigerator and add the Guinness reduction, whisking until well blended. Pour in an ice cream machine and freeze according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Transfer to an airtight container and freeze until ready to serve.

“I’m Afraid of Americans” is song and single by David Bowie from the 1997 album Earthling. The song, co-written by Bowie and Brian Eno, originally appeared as a rough mix on the soundtrack to the film Showgirls and was subsequently remade for Earthling.
Bowie describes the feelings behind the song:
It’s not as truly hostile about Americans as say “Born in the U.S.A.”: it’s merely sardonic. I was traveling in Java when the first McDonald’s went up: it was like, “for fuck’s sake.” The invasion by any homogenized culture is so depressing, the erection of another Disney World in, say, Umbria, Italy, more so. It strangles the indigenous culture and narrows expression of life. (Earthling press release)
The working title for this song was “Dummy”.
A CD single for “I’m Afraid of Americans” was released in the United States. The single did not include the album version of the song; instead, it featured remixes of the track performed by Bowie’s former tourmates, Nine Inch Nails, and drum and bass artist Photek. The (V1) mix became more popular than the original version, largely in part of the accompanying video, leading to its appearance on the retrospective Best of Bowie.
A Taxi Driver-influenced video was produced for the “I’m Afraid of Americans (V1)” remix, starring David Bowie and Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor. The video, directed by Dom & Nic (working name of Dominic Hawley and Nick Goffey), features Bowie being stalked through New York City by a hostile American, played by Reznor. As Bowie continues to be harassed and becomes more and more paranoid, he witnesses (or imagines he witnesses) random acts of violence perpetrated by Americans on one another. The video ends with Bowie ducking behind a taxi while Reznor fires an imaginary assault rifle that incurs severe damage to the vehicle; Bowie seems to awaken some time later, only to witness Reznor carrying a cross in a parade reminiscent of Day of the Dead celebrations as well as the Ray Bradbury penned movie Something Wicked This Way Comes.

Last week I got an email saying that Saturday 9th was the last day to return the V Fest tickets for Sunday’s concert, since Massive Attack was out of the concert I thought that I was the right thing to do.
As usual I bought my tickets online, so I had only 1 single place to retun the tickets, Rogers Center, gate 7, so yesterday I woke up at 11 and I went straight to the Rogers Center in order to get the refund, for my surprise I saw hundreds of fans of the Toronto Argonauts football team, when I was doing the line in the ticket master booth, I started to get the Argonauts goodies, helmet, baloons, etc.
I don’t know why but that day I was kinda shy (or maybe the fact that I was with my wife, helped a bit
), so I did not went for the calendar, otherwise I will have pictures of the HOT PORRISTS signing the copies
Massive Attack is not Playing? I want my money back?

Visa problems have forced Massive Attack, the U.K. band billed as the pioneering force behind the rise of trip-hop music, to pull out of this weekend’s first-ever Virgin Music Festival at the Toronto Islands.
The band couldn’t get visa documents for North America in time for Sunday’s show.
“In spite of timely and coordinated efforts, the essential U.S. immigration visas were not issued in time for the beginning of the Massive Attack North American Tour,” the band’s management said Thursday.
The snag has forced the band to cancel the first four dates on the North American tour, including Toronto, Montreal, Detroit and Chicago. The cancelled stops will be rescheduled at a later date.
People who purchased tickets to the weekend event with the expectation of seeing Massive Attack can get a full refund at the point of purchase until noon on Sunday, organizers said.
Broken Social Scene will fill the Sunday time slot of 9:45 p.m., said Rebecca Teal, a spokeswoman for V Fest promoters Emerge Entertainment.
“This was out of our control,” she said. “Obviously, it was a blow, but replacing Massive Attack with Broken Social Scene is pretty huge,” Teal said. “They’re a fantastic band.”
The addition of Broken Social Scene is coup for the local outfit, which will probably play in front of the biggest crowd of its career.
The Virgin Music Festival, Richard Branson’s U.K. festival franchise, is on Saturday and Sunday and features more than 35 bands, including Muse, the Raconteurs, Sam Roberts Band, the Flaming Lips, Wolfmother, the Dears and more, on two main stages. Toronto is the first city outside the U.K. to host V Fest.
Although Massive Attack had the headlining slot by going on last on Sunday, they weren’t billed as the headlining act and there are plenty of performers on the bill to satiate all musical tastes, she said.
“The Strokes are arguably equally if not larger than Massive Attack, as are the Raconteurs,” Teal said. “I mean Sunday is a huge day in itself. I think the Broken Social Scene crowd is pretty close to the Massive Attack crowd. That kind of helps.”
Broken Social Scene headlined a two-day festival on Olympic Island this past June, which drew 10,000 in advance ticket sales.
For V Fest, capacity on the Toronto islands will be limited to about 25,000 people a day. Ticket sales are “going about as predicted,” Teal said, and they are expecting 20,000 people a day.
The Toronto International Film Festival is kicking off at the same time as the concert and should help draw more people and star power to the event, she said.
“I think it only helps us,” Teal said. “A lot of the celebrities are coming to Virgin Festival,” she added.
The weather should smile favourably on the V Fest this weekend, as sunny skies and temperatures expected to hit a high of 25C on Saturday and 17C on Sunday.
Tickets, available at Ticketmaster and are $57.50 for a one-day pass and $104.50 for a weekend pass. Included in the price is the $7 ferry trip.
Concertgoers can visit the Star’s special V Fest section for set times and the full lineup.

Grandpa: Olive, you are the most beautiful girl in the whole world!
Olive: Nah you’re just saying that…
Grandpa: No I’m not kidding I’m madly in love with you, and it’s not because of your brains or your personality.
Olive is a little girl with a dream: winning the Little Miss Sunshine contest. Her family wants her dream to come true, but they are so burdened with their own quirks, neuroses, and problems that they can barely make it through a day without some disaster befalling them. Olive’s father Richard is a flop as a motivational speaker, and is barely on speaking terms with her mother. Her uncle Frank, a renowned Proust scholar, has attempted suicide following an unsuccessful romance with a male graduate student. Her brother Dwayne, a fanatical follower of Nietzsche, has taken a vow of silence, which allows him to escape somewhat from the family whose very presence torments him. And Olive’s grandfather is a ne’er-do-well with a drug habit, but at least he enthusiastically coaches Olive in her contest talent routine. Circumstances conspire to put the entire family on the road together with the goal of getting Olive to the Little Miss Sunshine contest in far off California

MSTRKRFT (read as “Masterkraft”) is an electronic music group from East York, Ontario, Canada who are signed to Last Gang Records. The group was started in 2005 by Jesse F. Keeler formerly of Death from Above 1979 and Al-P (Al Puodziukas) formerly of the Mississauga electropop group Girlsareshort. Al-P was also the producer for Death from Above 1979’s debut album You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine as well as several of (Jesse’s former band) Black Cat #13’s records.
Their first single was “Easy Love”, released in 2006. The music video featured four women in business suits drinking strawberry milkshakes. In the second half of the video, the women got onto dentist’s chairs and were covered with strawberry milkshake that came from the ceiling. They released their second single, “Work On You”, on July 6th. In contrast to the “Easy Love” music video, “Work On You” featured animated robots similar to those found in classic cartoons (see: Voltron, Transformers ). Although The Looks is MSTRKRFT’s first album featuring original content, the band has created remixes from a variety of other artists ranging from Buck 65 to The Kills to Jesse F. Keeler’s own band, Death from Above 1979.
Their first LP, The Looks, was released on July 18th, 2006. It only contains original material, including “Easy Love”, “Work On You” and “Paris”. Keeler and Al-P told Eye Weekly weeks before the release of The Looks that as it was being finished the planning stages for a follow-up record had already begun. Al said that this album would be “darker, underground disco and house with elements of American rock music.” On the band’s forum, Keeler also mentioned they were working on a compilation album with all their remixes
